Altered Organizer with Patina Rust Look by Nicole (basteltussi_vintage)

Hello everybody 😊
Today I would like to show you the beautiful 😍 rusty organizer from Nicole. How you can do it yourself, you can see in the following step by step guide.

First the organizer got a complete coat of black Gesso. For more structure Nicole glued on some leftovers.

Since Nicole still didn’t have enough structure, she just added some old curtain remnants.

Well, you probably guessed it, everything got a new coat of black Gesso to create a beautiful, uniform underground.

The next step was to apply the first layer of paint. For this Nicole used the Lindy’s Sprays “Steampunk Sepia” and “Cattail Copper Brown“.

Next up was the decorations. Old screws and nuts, everything the toolbox gave us, were put on the organizer. 😊

And of course elements from the “Mechanica Mould” as well as a few chipboard gears from Wycinanka and a pointer from Mitform were not missing. The final touch was put on the project with the rust effect pastes Nicole applied here and there, in the different colours.

Here in the gallery you can see the finished result. Isn’t it totally exciting and fascinating how you can create such a unique project with the simplest things?

I am happy if we could inspire you again and thank you dear Nicole for the wonderful 😍😍 project.

See you next time 😊
